Introduction
Faculty members are drawn from around the world, are highly qualified in their field(s) of expertise, and combine a solid academic background with ample professional experience as business leaders, industrialists, entrepreneurs and/or consultants. Faculty members all hold at least a Master or Doctoral degree and have relevant teaching experience at other schools, colleges and universities.
Combining academics with significant management practice allows for the creation of an excellent learning environment, bringing real business concepts into the classroom. Faculty members employ interactive teaching methods, providing for close student-teacher contact. Also, several courses each year are taught by visiting professors, offering a consistent level of quality across campus locations.
Faculty members
Henrietta Carbonel holds a Master in Economic Analysis and Policy from the Paris School of Economics, and a PhD in Economic Theory from Osaka University, Japan. Her vast experience studying, living, working and teaching in many countries with immense cultural differences have allowed Professor Carbonel to communicate her knowledge to an international audience in a contemporary fashion. Previous teaching experience includes courses in the field of economics and international business at Temple University (Tokyo, Japan) and International Christian University (Tokyo, Japan).
Raman Gandhi’s academic pursuits have led his career through major IT companies such as Ariba and Oracle. His career spans from e-commerce to financial services, working and living in California, Illinois and New York. Later on he lectured in the United States, as well as in France and Switzerland. Professor Gandhi holds a Master of Science in Education from the City College of New York, a Master of Science in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University, as well as an MBA in Finance and Economics from the University of Chicago. Previous teaching experience includes courses in the field of finance, economics and mathematics at Institut Superieur de Gestion (Paris, France), Touro College (Paris, France) and Columbia University (New York, USA).
Nancy Michels is an executive with over 16 years of experience in corporate and business-unit strategy, marketing, new product launch, scenario planning, management training and organizational change. She is a highly-skilled facilitator, teacher and executive coach. Her consulting experience ranges from life sciences, healthcare, consumer products, industrial materials to financial services. Professor Michels holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Brigham Young University (Salt Lake City, UT) and an MBA degree from Harvard University (Boston, MA). Professor Michels has extensive experience in corporate training programs.
Ralf Ritter’s career path spans over 22 years in Southeast Asia (Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia) and China (2000-2010) with shorter periods in the United States and Europe. His excellent conceptual and motivational skills have contributed to successful outcomes of assignments, projects and briefs as well as the foundation of distinguished careers of others who have grown and succeeded under his leadership. He worked in directorial positions in sales and marketing as well as in general management. Professor Ritter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies from Pomona College (Claremont, CA) and an MBA in Marketing from Golden Gate University (San Francisco, CA). Professor Ritter has extensive teaching experience in the field of Marketing at various business schools and universities in the greater Zurich area.
John Wilkes holds a Bachelor of Arts in Pure Mathematics from the University of Oxford and a Master of Science in Mathematics by research from the University of Aberdeen. His work as a freelance consultant and director have allowed him to infuse a real world perspective to his theoretical lecture material. His work with Infor Ltd, a company with a wide range of clients in the UK and overseas, and particularly in the health services, including the UK Department of Health, involved him in evaluation projects for the World Health Organization. Professor Wilkes has extensive teaching experience in the field of finance, mathematics and operations management at business schools and universities across Switzerland.
